  1. Book Review

Lunch Lady is an awesome series by Jarrett J. Krosoczka. It is a series about these two lunch lady’s who are undercover secret agents. Betty is the inventor/sidekick, and Lunch Lady is the agent. Every once in a while, Betty comes up with a new gadget. These gadgets are like a banarang, taco-vision night goggles that make everything look like a taco, hairnet nets, and fish stick nunchuks. Three kids at the school know about the lunch lady’s secret, and mainly discover the evil plan. This graphic novel series is humorus and adventurous. I would recommend this book to kids 8 and up.

  5. Top of the World
Top of the World is a biography about The Boston Celtics written by Peter May. In the first half of this book the Celtics tell the stories of how they drafted four of their star players. For example, they got Rajon Rondo by trading three players to the Timberwolves who traded them back Rondo. In the end of the book, the Celtics talked about how they won the NBA finals. In the finals they played the Los Angeles Lakers and won the series 4-2. That was the first time they won since 1986, and that was their 17th NBA finals' trophy. This book is a very detailed book and has many different people who are talking about what happened, which I like a lot. For example, they were trying to draft Kevin Garnett. Garnett and The Celtics Owners (Wycliffe Grousbeck,Stephen Pagliuca, and Irving Grousbeck) all talked about getting Garnett.

  6. Book Review for Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz

Point Blank is an adventure and action packed story! Anthony Horowitz puts just enough detail so that you can picture in your head what’s happening in the book. Every chapter leaves you hanging so you want to know what happens so badly! For example, Alex ends a chapter as he is chased down a mountain by snowmobilers with machine guns! In the next chapter, he is being cut up by barbed wire. Point Blank is a great book and I think everybody from 9-99 can read it.

  8. The main characters in the book The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan are Percy, Annabeth, Luke, and the, “Lord of Time, ruler of the titans Kronos.” Kronos is trying to take over Olympus which will destroy the gods. Luke and Percy took a dip in the River of Styx making them invincible. Kronos uses Luke as a host body. This is the reason Luke goes to the river to protect himself from Kronos’ power. Then Percy has to decide if he should give Luke the blade to defeat Kronos or if he should just attack.
I would recommend this book to people who like mythology and people ages 5 and up. This book makes you want to read more at every chapter. This book is an adventures book with a bunch of action. I’ve read all the books in the series. I hope they make movies about the books so I can see how different the books are than the movies.

  9. The missing manatee by Cynthia DeFelice is a very exciting book. From the start, the book grabs the reader’s attention. The Missing Manatee begins with a boy named Skeeter who one day was out in his boat and he found a manatee with a bullet hole in its head. Skeeter reports what he saw to the sheriff. When Skeeter brought the sheriff to show him the manatee, it was no longer there. As the story continues, Skeeter goes fishing with his father’s friend, Dirty Dan. While Skeeter was fishing, Dirty Dan was trying to catch tarpon. Dirty Dan was not trying to catch the tarpon with a rod and reel. He was using a spear to catch them. ~ Hunter

  12. Surviving The Applewhites is an exciting book by Stephanie S. Tolan. The book is about a kid named Jake Sullivan. Jake is a kid that no one likes. He is mean and cruel. He even burned down his old school. E.D is another main character he is nice and is picked on by Jake. School is hard for E.D with Jake around. I like the book because of the humor and it was a way different book than any other. I recommend this book to people who want a new adventure. I think ages 8-23 should read this book. The book is better than it seems.

  15. The book I just finished was Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko. The genre is a historical fiction. This book takes Moose Flannigan through an adventurous time. The adventures start after his dad takes a job on Alcatraz Island. In his time on Alcatraz, Moose always wanted to meet famous con artists such as Al Capone, Machine Gun Kelly and many others. He never got to meet some of these people because they were always locked up in the cell house. He does meet other con artists who are allowed to help the residents of the island. I recommend this book for eight year olds and older.
