Greetings Boys,

Wow, can you believe we are ready to kick off a new school year? The summer sure did fly by. As fifth graders, you are the leaders of our lower school. Please be thinking of some of the Leadership Positions you may want to pursue. We will be holding elections shortly after returning to school. Some of the leadership opportunities include:

Vice President
Classroom Representatives
Society Leaders
Chapel Team Members

I hope that many of you will be able to come by on Tuesday for a short visit and to drop off your supplies. You are also welcome to bring in your Summer Packet or if you would prefer – you can bring it in on Wednesday. New students drop in on Tuesday between 9:30-10:30 and returning students come by between 11:00-12:00.

This is a great day to check out where your desk is, say hi to your awesome teacher, and catch a glimpse of your friends. If you are unable to come on Tuesday, just bring your supplies and summer packet on Wednesday – our first official day of school.

I would love to hear a little bit about what you did this summer! Please comment below. You are also welcome to take the surveys located to the right of this page.

All the best for a fabulous 2010-2011 school year ~ Mrs. Suskind

  1. I went to summer experience camp and wrestling camp at STC. I went to Lakemont Georgia and to Hilton Head where I did shark fishing, sea kyaking, and boogie boarding. I also did 3 weeks of tennis camp and played guitar a lot.

  2. I went to summer experience and basketball camp. I also went to Washington D.C. I went to the White House, Washington Monument, and rode the metro train. I also went to Maryland and to North Carolina.

  3. I went to overnight camp for two weeks. I went to Avalon ,New Jersey for a week (we stopped at my dad's office on the way, which is across from the back entrance of the White House). I spent a week in Florida an saw about a billion sea turtles. This season I'm playing football for the first time, and I really like the Eagles.

  4. This summer I went on vacation to Atlanta and Baltimore. While in Baltimore I went to a Ravens preseason game vs the Panthers. Iwent to STC football camp and competed in 3 youth triathalons.

  5. I went to Richmond Spiders basketball camp and spent a week in North Carolina with my cousins. I also went on a White House tour and saw the Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.

  6. I went to a theatre camp called SPARC and to Comfort Zone Reunion Camp (best camp of the whole summer). I also went to the beach and to North Carolina to visit my sister at UNC at Chapel Hill. I learned how to play SCRABBLE and even beat my Mom who is an expert when I got the word jabs (triple word in the corner and double letter on the J) which gave me over 63 points. My Mom sorta helped me win but by the end she was trying to beat me.
